Privacy Policy for Dealbird

Dealbird is operated by Digital Slaughter LLC ("Dealbird," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through dealbird.app and the Dealbird app (the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices, including around text messages.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who This Applies To

Dealbird has two kinds of users:
- Contractors: the businesses who sign up for a Dealbird account to build quotes, manage customers, and get paid.
- Homeowners: the contractor's own customers, who receive a quote link from their contractor and may view, accept, decline, or pay a deposit on that quote.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 From contractors (account holders)
Name, email address, phone number, business details (business name, address, license number, logo, tax rate, deposit and terms settings), and billing information (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).

2.2 From or about homeowners, entered by the contractor
Name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and the details of the quote itself (line items, photos, notes). Contractors enter this information to build and send quotes; Dealbird is not the one deciding to collect it, the contractor is, same as it would be if they wrote it on paper.

2.3 Automatically collected
IP address, browser and device information, and basic usage data (e.g. when a quote link is opened), collected through cookies and similar technology to keep you signed in and to tell a real homeowner visit apart from an automatic link preview.

3. How We Use Information

To operate the Service: building and sending quotes, processing e-signatures and deposits, generating PDFs, running the AI quote drafter, and sending the notifications described below. We also use account information for billing, support, and to improve the Service.

4. Phone Numbers and SMS Consent

Dealbird sends two kinds of text messages, both covered by our SMS Terms (dealbird.app/sms-terms):
- Contractor alerts: sent from Dealbird's own number to a contractor who has separately opted in, letting them know a quote was viewed, accepted, or needs a follow-up nudge.
- Homeowner texts: Dealbird never texts homeowners from its own number. When a contractor sends a quote by text, it goes out from the contractor's own phone, not from Dealbird.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes, under any circumstances. Phone numbers are used only to operate the Service as described in this policy and our SMS Terms.

5. Who We Share Data With

We share information only with the service providers who help us run Dealbird, and only as needed to provide the Service:
- Supabase (database, authentication, file storage)
- Stripe (subscription billing and homeowner deposit payments)
- Mailgun (email delivery)
- Twilio (contractor text alerts only, see section 4)
- OpenAI (transcribing voice notes and drafting quote line items for the AI drafter)

We do not sell personal information. We do not share homeowner or contractor data with any other third party, except where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Dealbird, our users, or others.

6. Data Retention and Your Choices

You can update or delete your account information at any time from Settings, or by emailing us (below). A contractor can opt out of text alerts at any time by replying STOP or unchecking the text alerts box in Settings. We retain quote and customer records as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with our legal and tax obligations.

7. Children's Privacy

Dealbird is a business tool and is not directed to, or intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
